It has been a deep honor and joy to have the privilege to perform for soooo many of our men and woman in uniforms! I have been booked through the U.S.O, MWR and Armed Force Entertainment. It’s funny because when I turned 18 my grandmother tried to talk me into going to the Air Force recruiting office on Fordham Road back in the Bronx…I immediately told her that I wasn’t military material, I don’t take orders…unless you ask me nicely, but then that wouldn’t be an order, unless you shout your request then right afterwards you say, “please.” ??? right? Anywayz, I’m not a morning person and military people do waaaay too much stuff in the morning, and you guys still come out at night to the comedy shows and have a wild time! It’s always a blast to perform for the troops and…I have to add, military guys just looove to moon people! I’ve been mooned by Marines, Air Force guys and Navy guys…Army…I’m still waiting, lol! I’ve been chased by a fruit bat on the Kadena Air Force base in Okinawa, I watched a grown soldier at Camp Delta in Guantanamo Bay jump out of his seat and squeal at the top of his lungs when a banana rat scurried across his feet during the comedy show! I don’t think he’ll ever live that down! Oh and I’ve got nothing but love for the troops station at the Clear Air Force Station in Alaska but…your base is a hamster trail!!! You guys live in a big, fat hamster trail! I’m surprised that the floor wasn’t covered with shredded newspaper, and your workout room didn’t consist of a really big wheel! ‘and Lord knows I was happy that no one left any ‘pellets’ laying around! Lol!
When I look at the long list of bases I’ve performed for, I always feel like my grandmother got the last laugh…I’m practically enlisted!!! Lol!
